A dramatic image that shows the Island of Staffa and the harsh environment that surrounds it. Constantly bashed by the crashing Atlantic waves, it's basalt columns form its distinctive cliffs. In places they have given way to the formation of caves, the most famous being Fingal's Cave seen to the right of this view.
