Longannet Dawn

The giant power generating station at Longannet, sitting on the banks of the River Forth, is
silhouetted against the early dawn light on a cold January morning. It was one of the 3 main power stations for Central Scotland until closure in 2016. Longannet required a constant stream of coal trains to satisfy its endless hunger.
